some were in night under a full moon (which it was last night), some in broad daylight, and the enemies were like models straight from warcraft III but i was very small in comparison. As i went further in the combat got more and more chaotic in a very devil daggers, ultrakill sort of way, the rooms opened up into entire maps of their own, with this medieval castle or gates or something around the boundary. at first it was mostly like, a skull on the wall that was actually a switch that opened up more of the cave and i was very excited to have found / opened this easter egg on my own. so i was looking all over this old map and found that under one of these ledges was this secret cavern that led into this like voxel-based dank drippy cave, and suddenly everything was like early DOOM gameplay (an FPS with no up/down) and i was firing these like maggots or blood chunks as attacks at very weird enemies. I was watching some starcraft video and they were looking at this old map from the first one where there were these big lava pockets all over and commenting on how an old feature was that terran battlecruisers would actually fly down and dip into the lava if they passed over it and it gave them +33 frost damage (?) on their attacks.
